A wish I have.

Last night I was sitting at my computer having my usual look around and yet again discovered more blogs with some fantastic photography. It's got me all inspired to try and get going with our camera. It's a pretty good one, the Handsome Husband is so in love with it he calls it his "mistress"!!! The only thing is, I don't know how to use all of the different functions on it. I tried playing around with it last week and couldn't get anything exciting but I'm determined to keep trying, with new ideas popping into my head all the time. This is good, I'm enjoying getting the creative juices flowing, it's good for the soul!

The two pictures I've included here on this post were taken at Christmas time when we were visiting my parents. They live in a beautiful little seaside town in South Australia and we were down at the beach one day when I decided to have a little play with the camera. I managed to get a few shots I am happy with and these were two of them. Hopefully I'll be able to expand on these and get a lot more that I am totally in love with.

Wish me luck!

Knitting not blogging

I've been busy lately doing lots of Christmas knitting, so far I've completed a hat and scarf for my Handsome Husband. The scarf was the first time using Noro yarn and it was lovely Iro. I copied the fantastic Mr Brooklyntweed for this one, and the hat was one of Jo Sharp's great designs. I've almost completed a cardigan and doll for a friend's new baby and am starting another doll for my best friends little girl. This last one is a bit of madness as I've only got 4 days to finish it, plus pack and fly to Adelaide - eek, what am I doing wasting time on the computer!! I've decided though that my next project will be something for ME and am preparing to take it along on our jaunt to Adelaide for something to do in the quieter moments. Also, I've had to make a promise to myself that I've got to quit adding to the stash for awhile, it's growing quite a bit and my husband would be in for a rather huge shock if he decided to go hunting around the darker corners of our wardrobe! People keep having too tempting sales though so I add with the thought that I'll be going through a dry spell of spending soon and will have lots of lovely yarn stored up that I can use - yes, I know, that's the whole idea of a stash!! Better go and keep knitting. Merry Christmas everyone.
